Build ideas fast — add child topics with Tab, sibling topics with Enter, delete with one key. Three layouts (horizontal, vertical, radial), two themes, export to PNG, SVG, Markdown, OPML or FreeMind. Fully offline, no account.
Tab adds a child topic, Enter adds a sibling, F2 renames, Delete removes. No mouse needed for the core workflow.
Horizontal (classic left-to-right), vertical (top-down), and radial (radiating from center). Switch in View menu.
Classic monochrome or Colorful — each main branch gets a distinct color. Node presets for root, branch and leaf.
Click the dot on a branch to collapse sub-topics. Collapse All / Expand All for the whole map.
PNG, SVG, Markdown, OPML, FreeMind (.mm), plain text. Import Markdown to turn an outline into a mind map.
Priority markers, hyperlinks, notes, font size, cycle colors, bold. Tree statistics and validation check your map.
Mouse wheel or −/+ buttons. Fit to whole map, center root, breadcrumb navigation for deep trees.
Auto-saves at a configurable interval. Projects are .json files you can back up, share and version.

1. Download and extract. 2. Run UMind.exe. 3. Select the central topic and press Tab to add a child. 4. Type to edit, Enter to confirm. 5. File → Export to save as PNG, Markdown or OPML.
